Sanctuary Retreat and Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch is located in the beautiful Blaeberry Valley, 10 miles north of Golden, British Columbia. 3 hours west of Calgary, Alberta. Our closest international airport is Calgary International. The drive between Calgary and Golden through the Rocky Mountains is one of the most beautiful in the world. Golden is called "the heart of the parks" as it is surrounded by 9 National and Provincial Parks! We are 1 hour from Banff National Park, 45 minutes from Lake Louise.

The ranch is located on 80 acres of meadows, wetlands and forest. Guests will enjoy buffalo roaming, year round creeks and ponds with native fish, and pristine frontage along the Blaeberry River which is fed by the Mummery Glacier. We are surrounded by amazing vistas of the Canadian Rockies and the Purcell Mountains, waterfalls, wildlife, such as elk, moose, wolves, bears, fox, mountain goats, osprey, bald eagles,and many other species of birds and native fish. In addition to all the external beauty here, there is an expansive gentle peace you will sense. It is truly a spectacular place! We'd love to share it with you.
